Goldblatt: Picking Joburg apart
Given David Goldblatt lived in Joburg it wasn't unexpected that this city was perhaps his most steadfast muse. In a way like most of us who have lived here, you can never really fully know this city; it is too large and is constantly expanding. It kept Goldblatt busy and intrigued most of his life. In this review of an exhibition titled Joburg, I naturally concentrate on the ways he engaged with his hometown.
