Arts Research,
CONSULTING & EVENTS
Corrigall & Co undertake micro and macro analysis of a variety of arts businesses, sectors and ecosystems with a view to identifying the major challenges and plotting future directions and identifying overlooked opportunities.

We combine qualitative and quantitative methodologies to generate accessible reports that can have an immediate impact.

In response to gaps we identify we propose solutions and interventions. To this end, 2024 will see the launch of the inaugural HEAT festival in Cape Town, which was established in response to low visitor numbers to art spaces in this city in Winter.
We work with government entities, cultural organisations, non-profits, commercial businesses and small organisations, artists and studios.

We develop communication strategies and text products, publications for commercial arts organisations and non-profit entities looking to establish or reposition themselves.
This Cape-Town based art research consultancy was founded by Mary Corrigall, an award-winning art journalist and academic in 2016. Corrigall is a prominent commentator in South Africa and regularly conducts lectures at auction houses, galleries, art fairs, and the Sotheby's Institute in London.

Corrigall is committed to cultivating audiences and using her research and expertise to contribute towards growing and sustaining arts production on the African continent.

"Mary Corrigall's approach is always thorough and through the research we commissioned her to do, she has not only contributed towards our perspective (on the art landscape) but through her work with other organisations and art businesses she has played a valuable role in growing our creative economy,”
